Part of the reason I love doing Meet The Muse features is that with every interview I learn something new. Today’s feature with Ashley of What Would Ashley Wear? is a case in point.  I now have two new to me online shopping destinations to explore and an official favorite fashion D.I.Y. Read on to get into more about what Ashley wears.

In a few words, how would you describe your style?
My style is city chic. I love basics and my wardrobe is full of black but I love to mix it up and add splashes of color, especially neons as of late!

What inspired you to start blogging? Has your style changed dramatically since you began?
I was inspired to start blogging while I was studying abroad in China. I wanted to start a street style blog, but was way too embarrassed to walk up to people and ask them (in Mandarin) to take their photo. So I compiled all my favorite pieces, started styling myself, and voila my blog was born!
My blog has changed my style dramatically and for the better. I was afraid to experiment with patterns, color, and different looks but now I’m so much more open. It really helped me define my style and learn what looks good on me, what doesn’t and how to be a smarter shopper.

What are your favorite looks/outfits posted so far? 
My absolute favorite is my neons and neutrals look. I DIY’d my shoes for the first time and they came out so well.
I also love this printed shorts look (also seen above) and this artsy skirt look.

If we were to peek into your closet what item(s) would we see the most of?
You’d definitely see a lot of summer dresses, denim, and denim cut offs. I’m always so excited to bare my legs every summer!

Where are your favorite places to shop?
I love online shopping! I can browse online shops forever and end up in a matrix. Some of my favorites are Eriin and Mikkat Market. I prefer shopping smaller brands, unique boutiques (especially in NYC), and vintage and thrift shops (love the consignment in Palm Beach, FL). I’m obsessed with finding one of a kind items!

What are your most treasured wardrobe pieces right now?
